Pelle
is the blacksmith, whose ancestors were
the eighteen century blacksmiths in Åland (an island
between Sweden and Finland in the Baltic Sea. Today Pelle
works full time at the farm.
When working on the farm he
is responsible for the forest and the grounds. He is also
the constructor of gates and equipment for the sheep house
and he is responsible for the daily work with the sheep.
In his spare time, Pelle works
at the forge, where he compels the iron to every day use
objects of his own design, using fire and the blacksmith's
hand hammer. He also makes spare parts to Birgith's looms
and spinning wheels, and produces the most wonderful spindles,
